Marware Kindle Fire Clear Screen Protector

Marware Kindle Fire Clear Screen Protector
Why the negativity? It's a great product for what it does, I am amazed by the number of negative reviews. The common characteristic seems to be that people don't understand the engineering of glare reduction screen protectors. This product does exactly what it is supposed to do and I am very happy with it.

  1. Non-glare screen protectors work by employing a non-smooth surface that refracts light in multiple directions, resulting in less glare. That is exactly what this product does, which is especially appreciated when you are doing concentrated reading.
  2. Because of the surface characteristics, a non-glare screen protector will slightly blur and soften the display. That happens with this product, but it is an inherent characteristic of ALL glare reduction screen protectors.
  3. Anti-glare screen protectors will show fingerprints, dirt and smudges more than the unadorned display. This is an inherent characteristic of ALL anti-glare screen protectors. You need to have a screen cleaning cloth available (provided with this product) and use it more often than you would if you didn't have a non-glare protector.
  4. You have to be very careful in applying the protector because anything between the protector and the screen will be visible (such as lint or air bubbles). You need to take your time in applying the product (do it very carefully and slowly and DO NOT touch the adhesive surface). Start with a perfectly clean screen. Rub out the bubbles with the supplied tool immediately. Align it carefully and do not remove the top mask until it is firmly in place and the bubbles have been removed.
  5. You do not need a screen protector unless you want anti-glare qualities. The Fire screen is made of a Corning glass product called Gorilla glass. It is very tough and is almost impossible to scratch or otherwise damage. It does not need a screen protector unless you want glare-reduction.

I am very happy with the product. I have used a number of screen protectors with other devices (laptops, cell phones, etc) and this has the best adhesion of any I have used, as well as the best glare reduction I have been able to find. Everyone has different opinions and needs, but I think people need to understand a product before jumping in with overly negative reactions. It is what it says it is. Kudos to Marware for designing a great product and to Amazon for working with Marware to ensure a precision fit to the Fire screen. review By Just Wondering
